SUMMARY:BE FAST | Stroke Awareness 5k Run / Walk
DESCRIPTION:Located in downtown Toledo at Promenade Park\, this 5k run or 1 mile walk honoring stroke survivors and their family members. Run along the Maumee River front\, across the Cherry Street Bridge and through the beautiful Glass City Metropark. \n100% of registration\, donations\, and raffle proceeds will go directly into The ProMedica Foundation Stroke Patient Assistance Fund. The fund is able to cover the cost of medications\, health equipment\, health supplies\, transportation to and from appointments\, and rent/utilities for patients with limited financial means as a result of their stroke. \nYour Entry Includes:\nEntrance to the 5K Run/1 Mile Walk\nBib Chip Timing\n*BE FAST Stroke 5k T-Shirt*\nSnacks and Drinks\nPost race meal\nFree Stroke Risk Assessments including blood pressure screenings\nStroke Educational Material\nEntrance into the community resource fair with multiple vendors\nFace painting/balloon animals\nDJ and photography \nKids Fun run will start at 9:30am and is a 100 yard dash.\nWalk will start at 9:45am.\nRun will start at 10:00am.\nRegistration Fee is $25.00 per participant until 11:59 on 8/31/2024.\nPrice increase to $35.00 per participant on 9/1/2024.\nRegistration is free for stroke survivors. \nSilent auction and raffle items will be available! Raffle starts at 11:15am following the Awards Ceremony \nAwards:\nPresented by the John C Lipovec Memorial\n$150 CASH PRIZE for Race Winner\n$100 CASH PRIZE to the overall masters female runner and male runner (40 and up)\n$100 CASH PRIZE to the overall female runner and male runner \nParticipant medals for all runners! \n**Race shirts are not guaranteed after September 3\, 2024**\n*You must be present to receive your shirt.
