TOLEDO’S THANKSGIVING DAY TRADITION

The annual Dave’s Turkey Chase 5K, presented by First Solar, is the ideal Thanksgiving Day family fun run/walk. With media sponsor WTOL 11 in Downtown Toledo, the event also includes a one-mile walk, a kids run, and a virtual option — all to benefit Cherry Street Mission Ministries.

The 5K event starts right in front of the Glass City Center, heads past 5/3 Field, onto Huron St., passing by the Huntington Center, and continues across Cherry St, then back onto Summit St. to the finish in front of the promenade park just shy of the Glass City Center.

5K Start: 9:00 am
Course Open: 1.5 hours
Maximum Field: 5,500 Runners
Minimum Age: 6 on Race Day (5K)

Free Kids 1/4 Mile & 1/2 Mile RunThe 
Kids 1/4-mile Turkey Chase run starts at 8:30 am, immediately followed by the 1/2-mile option. There is no charge for this kids’ event, but all participants must be registered and wearing an official BIB to participate.
